OREANDA-NEWS. A session of the Uzbek-Dutch joint commission on international automobile transportation was held at the headquarters of the Uzbek Agency for Automobile and river Transport in Tashkent.

The joint commission was founded in line with article 15 of the agreement between the Government of Uzbekistan and the Government of the Netherlands on international automobile transportation, signed in Tashkent.

Within the session, the sides considered important and perspective issues of bilateral cooperation in international automobile transportation, the press service of Uzbek Agency for Automobile and river Transport.

The delegation of Uzbekistan included representatives of Uzbek Agency for Automobile and river Transport, Republican Road Fund under Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Foreign Economic Relations, Investment and Trade of Uzbekistan, State Customs Committee of Uzbekistan.

The Dutch side was represented by officials from Ministry of Infrastructure and Environment, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Association of Automobile Transporters, Honourable Council of the Netherlands in Uzbekistan. In his speech, the head of delegation and special representative of the Ministry of Infrastructure and Environment of the Netherlands Cornelis Robert Matteys Oudskhoorn underlined positive development of the Uzbek-Dutch relations in international automobile cargo transportation.

The Uzbek agency said that the session of the joint commission was held in constructive atmosphere and the sides considered all issues included into agenda.

The sides underlined necessity of further development of the Uzbek-Dutch relations in international cargo transportation based on close cooperation within the agreement between the Government of Uzbekistan and the Government of the Netherlands on international automobile transportation, signed in Tashkent on 23 December 2002.
