OREANDA-NEWS. Belarus’ OJSC Grodno Meat-Packing Plant is holding a tender to choose a contractor to build a smoking plant, a company representative told reporters.

The approximate value of the project, including the construction of the smoker, equipment and installation procedures, is estimated at EUR 20 million, the official informed.

The closing date for applications is January 30, 2013. They plan to start building the new smoking plant in the summer of 2013 and make it operational in late 2015.

Project solutions submitted are supposed to comply with EU regulations.

Established in 1939, Grodno Meat-Packing Plant produces meat, sausages and prefabricated meat products. The meat factory markets its products domestically and in Russia.
