Belarusian Farm Product Exports Rose 19.4% in Jan-Nov 2012
OREANDA-NEWS. Belarus exported USD 4.521 billion worth of farm products in January-November 2012, up 19.4% on the year, according to the official statistical report.
Belarusian agricultural enterprises exported 130,800 tonnes (up 7.1% on year) worth USD 556.75 million (down 0.3%); milk and cream, condensed and dry – 189,800 tonnes (up 10.1%) worth USD 510.743 million (up 4.9%), beef – 65,900 tonnes down 2.8%) worth USD 336.337 million (down 2.3%), butter – 80,000 tonnes (up 34.6%) worth USD 291.276 million (up 3.2%), sugar – 417,00 tonnes (up 15.9%) worth USD 270.314 million (down 8.9%).
Tobacco exports stood at 4.347 billion units (up 3.2 times) worth USD 208.472 million (up 3.5 times), pork – 56,600 tonnes (up 11.4%) worth USD 205.251 million (up 50.7%), non-condensed milk and cream – 273,800 tonnes (up 66.2%) worth USD 183.282 million (up 50.7%).
Farm product imports expanded 9.3% year on year in January-November 2012 to USD 3.293 billion. Belarus imported 106,500 tonnes of pork (up 26.9%) worth USD 323.321 million (up 37.9%), soy oil by-products – 334,700 tonnes (up 11.1%) worth USD 194.572 million (up 23.5%).
Sugar imports totalled 286,600 tonnes (down 38.1% on year) worth USD 159.738 million (down 53.1%), cattle fodder – 63,200 tonnes (up 31.4%) worth USD 147.564 million (up 34.2%), frozen fish – 79,900 tonnes (up 13.6%) worth USD 146.793 million (up 13.8%), sunflower oil – 89,500 tonnes (up 20.2%) worth USD 113.066 million (up 2.8%).
