Belarusian Metal Plant Eager to Expand Pipe Sales 20% in 2013
OREANDA-NEWS. OJSC Belarusian Metallurgical Plant (BMZ, Zhlobin, Gomel Region) plans to increase pipe sales 20% on the year in 2013 to 148,000 tonnes, the company’s press-service informed with reference to BMZ CEO Anatoli Savenok.
Speaking of pipes and hardware products, the company director informed that they already had a portfolio of contracts. For instance, BMZ has signed a contract to supply 55,000 tonnes of pipes to oil and gas developers in the United States, and another 32,000 tonnes to the Russian market.
BMZ supplies pipes for Russia’s Russneft, Lukoil, Gazprom, Bashneft, TNK-BP.
Also, BMZ has a valid contract to ship 9,420 tonnes of pipes to Venezuela in early 2013.
All in all, pipe sales are expected to grow 20% on the year in 2013 to 148,000 tonnes, Savenok said.
State-owned company Belarusian Metallurgical Plant was launched in 1984. BMZ exports about 85% of its output. Non-CIS countries account for more than 70% of the BMZ’s exports.
