ISS-Reshetnev-Built Satellites Ride into Orbit
OREANDA-NEWS. February 1, 2013. A light-weight Rokot launch vehicle blasted off on January 15, 2013 from the Plesetsk state experimental cosmodrome, taking a block of military spacecraft into orbit. The satellites were developed and built by Academician M.F. Reshetnev Information Satellite Systems.
The launch went off according to plan.
Once the spacecraft were delivered to their nominal orbit at estimated time, the RF Ministry of Defense took control over the satellites through its ground-based automated control center. The Ministry will further continue to command and control the spacecraft during their mission.
Having reached designated orbital slots, the satellites were given serial numbers Kosmos-2482, Kosmos-2483 and Kosmos-2484.
