OREANDA-NEWS. February 1, 2013. Belarus produced a budget surplus of Br3.6 trillion (USD 418.12 million) in 2012, Vice Minister of Finance Maksim Yermolovich told a press conference.

The government has succeeded in sticking to a zero-deficit budget plan in 2012, Yermolovich said.

Although the original budget was very well balanced, there emerged a few circumstances, which affected budget revenues and caused the government to focus on boosting proceeds from state property privatization and raising excise tax rates, Yermolovich informed.
