OREANDA-NEWS. February 01, 2013. From the beginning of functioning of wholesale agricultural markets Stolychnyi in Kyiv, Shuvar in Lviv and Gospodar in Donetsk they were visited by over 3.5 million customers. For this time almost 210 thousand vendors sold over 1.1 million tons of products.

In the current time building of terminals on existing wholesale agricultural markets (WIM) is going on and also new markets in other 8 regions of Ukraine. This was announced by the Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food Mykola Prysyazhniuk.

Development of infrastructure of agrarian market is one of prerequisites for qualitative changes in agriculture of the country. It is because modern multi-function objects such as WIM become principal logistic knots that secure necessary conditions for storing and selling produced by the agrarian goods.

“Our task which we continue to fulfill successfully is development of the WIM equipped with accounting for leading experience of foreign markets. The main thing is such trade objects attract customers by lower prices and high quality products. So, from the start of functioning of wholesale agricultural markets Stolychnyi in Kyiv, Shuvar in Lviv and Gospodar in Donetsk they were visited by over 3.5 million customers,” Mykola Prysyazhniuk noted.

“Activity of wholesale markets in Kyiv, Lviv and Donetsk regions has already demonstrated its effectiveness. That’s why it is predicted that a WIM network will embrace the whole territory of Ukraine. After construction of all WIM is finished, their summarized area will amount over 400 hectares,” Mykola Prysyazhniuk informed.
