SAS Launches New Route between Vilnius and Stockholm
OREANDA-NEWS. February 01, 2013. Scandinavian Airlines SAS increases the number of routes from Lithuania and on April 1, 2013 launches a new route between Stockholm and Vilnius. Flights to Swedish capital city will be operated 6 times per week, i.e. every day except Saturdays, reported the press-centre of Vilnius Airport.
Planes at Stockholm Arlanda airport will take off at 14:45 and will depart Vilnius International Airport at 17:55. Flights will be operated by 50 seat SAAB 2000 aircraft. The first flight between Stockholm and Vilnius will be operated on April 1, 2013, and the flight tickets will be available for purchasing since the last week of January, 2013.
“There is a lot of Swedish capital in Lithuania, our country and Sweden have long-term business relationship. Taking into account our customers’ demand, encouraged us to increase the number of routes from Lithuania in the direction of Stockholm, as it seemed to be the most logical route expansion for us”, noted Ruta Juciene, SAS Representative Manager, Lithuania.
In Lithuania SAS is operating 19 weekly flights between Vilnius and Copenhagen and 13 weekly flights between Palanga and Copenhagen. After having launched a new route between Stockholm and Vilnius, SAS will be operating 38 weekly flights in Lithuania in total, and this will be the biggest ever number of SAS flights in this market.
