OREANDA-NEWS. January 31, 2013. Doctor Web is pleased to announce an update to the Dr.Web Enterprise Security Suite 6.0 agent components. The update covers the Scanning Engine service, Dr.Web Anti-rootkit Service subsystem that cures active and sophisticated threats, and Dr.Web SelfPROtect module.

An issue when the Scanning Engine could freeze while checking files or neutralizing threats has been resolved (it has also been fixed for Dr.Web Anti-rootkit Service). Additionally, problems related to reboots of virus databases upon updates and reasons that caused increased consumption of resources by the service on computers running Windows 2000 have been fixed.

The update will be performed automatically; however, a system reboot will be required twice.
