OREANDA-NEWS. January 31, 2013. Results for 2012, provided by Pulkovo Airport, confirm that UTair Aviation was the most punctual airline operating from the airport. UTair achieved a punctuality performance of approximately 90% (according to international standards flights are considered to be on-time if they take off within 15 minutes of the published timetable). The volume of traffic carried by UTair Aviation from the Capital of the North increased by 23% for the past year compared with 2011 and amounted to a total in excess of 400 thousand passengers, and the number of takeoff and landings totaled more than 5 thousand.

From Pulkovo Airport UTair Aviation operates regular flights to Moscow, Nizhny Novgorod, Surgut, Noyabrsk, Syktyvkar, Khanty-Mansiysk and Naryan-Mar.

“Gateway of the Capital of the North”, the management company of the St. Petersburg airport, will hold its second annual awards ceremony to honour its partners under its LED TOGETHER program. Last year, UTair Aviation was recognized as the air carrier that provided the greatest increase in the number of flights to/from Pulkovo Airport.

UTair Aviation ranks among the top three Russian airlines. In 2012 UTair aircraft transported 8,582,681 passengers. The airline maintains its central hub at Vnukovo International Airport in Moscow, from which it performs 100 flights daily.

Airport Pulkovo ranks the third place in passenger traffic in Russia. In 2012 the airport served 11,154,560 passengers. 32 foreign airlines, 22 Russian airlines and 14 CIS airlines operate flights to Pulkovo Airport on a regular basis.
