Rosmorport Provides Nuclear Ice Breaker Safe Operation at Baltic
OREANDA-NEWS. January 31, 2013. The FSUE "Rosmorport" icebreaker Ivan Kruzenshtern delivered the customs comission and two North-West basin branch pilotes at the nuclear icebreaker board, reported the press-centre of Rosmorport.
During all the nuclear icebreaker operation period in the Gulf of Finland the FSUE "Rosmorport" pilots will be onboard to provide safe operation at the obligatory pilotage areas. In accordance with the FSUE "Rosmorport" and the FSUE "Atomflot" contract, the Russia nuclear icebreaker will implement icebreaking pilotage at the Gulf of Finland Eastern area for 90 days. The FSUE "Rosmorport" icebreaking fleet also participates the operation.
During last day 10 FSUE "Rosmorport" icebreakers pilotaged 45 vessels to Russian sea ports at the Gulf of Finland. Since the beginning of the winter navigation more than 609 icebreaking pilotage operation were provided.
