OREANDA-NEWS. January 30, 2013. The 40,000th Ecosplit gearbox came off the assembly line of OOO ZF KAMA, the joint venture of KAMAZ and the German company Zahnrad Fabrik Friedrichshafen AG.

This transmission is the first product in the gearbox line of the German company ZF the production of which was launched by ZF KAMA. Ecosplit is a 16-speed mechanical gearbox for heavy trucks with a payload of up to 40 tonnes. It is used in heavy dump trucks, long-haul tractors, fire-fighting vehicles, racing trucks (including vehicles of the KAMAZ-master team), and trailers. Transmissions produced by ZF KAMA feature effortless gear changing and additional options (intarder, PTO). So, they can be used for various purposes. In comparison with other gearboxes, they are much lighter, quieter, and their oil lifetime is increased to 50%.

Congratulating the staff of ZF KAMA upon this event, Aleksandr Zakharov, Technical Director of the company, said that the employees of the JV always tried to achieve new goals and become more experienced and confident of success.
