OREANDA-NEWS. January 30, 2013. As part of the ongoing collaboration between the holding TITAN-2 and the Austrian company EMCO Maoer GmbH, a specialised metal processing site UAT OJSC, which manufactures couplings for mechanical connections of frame structures, was visited by the specialists of the factory that produces innovative manufacturing machinery for the metalworking industry.

Eighteen months ago, the world-renowned manufacturer of high-precision metal working equipment, EMCO Maier GmbH, installed for the holding a lathe complex EMCO E 65 Big Bore, which has served as the basis for organizing TITAN-2's production line for manufacturing of couplings. In addition to continuous on-line support, the company EMCO Maier GmbH also visits the plants of its client-enterprises, to control the previously supplied products. “For us, it is important that our customers always know that they can count on our support. So, every two years we always go to visit our clients. In addition, our company is constantly development and offering new, improved solutions, and we are interested that these reach all those who work with our machinery,” - said the Austrian engineers Gregor Kuchl and Alfred Tamsweg.

Specialists of the Austrian factory provide their services free of charge, and these include quite a wide range: optimization of production processes, installation of updated Siemens software from 2013, training, full maintenance of the lathe complex, development of the integration process to connect new equipment with that already available, so as to enable rapid expansion of production.

“These results will allow OJSC UAT to increase output at the existing facilities and to create the basis for further expansion, opening a full-scale output of our products to the market of industrial and civil construction in Russia and the CIS”, - says Nikolay Petrov.

Holding TITAN-2 is the largest group of companies in the North-West Region, working in the construction of the most significant facilities for the nuclear power plants and industry.

Its business units provide a full cycle of construction – from design of project documentation to delivery and commissioning. Exceptional work is ensured by over 4,000 highly qualified staff specialists working across 15 business units.

TITAN-2 is one of the contractors involved in construction and installation works at the power units 1 and 2 of the Leningrad NPP. 145 construction sites are simultaneously underway.

The specialised metalwork unit was set up on the basis of the holding's subsidiary company OJSC UAT in 2012. The production capacity of the coupling compound is 4,000 units per month, while working in a single shift. Its production line can produce a wide range of other lathe products, with the diameter varying from 1 to 600 mm, and precision of up to 4 microns.
