OREANDA-NEWS. January 30, 2013. Deputy Head of the Department of the Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS Russia) for Control over Electric Power Industry, Elena Tsyshevskaya, addressed the 9th International Forum “Electric Power Industry of Russia 2013”, reported the press-centre of FAS Russia.

The Forum is an international platform gathering together representatives of the largest companies of the electric power sector of Russia and the CIS, their consumers and suppliers, as well as the industry regulators to discuss pressing issues and develop approaches to resolving the tasks facing the industry today.

Elena Tsyshevskaya made a report on legislative regulation and the prospects of competitive development of the electric power industry in Russia, putting a special emphasis on the measures towards increasing attractiveness of the electric power markets for investors as well as the practice of investigating disputes with power-generating companies by the antimonopoly authority.

Representatives of government agencies together with representatives of the largest companies in the electric power sectors of Russia and the CIS endeavoured to develop realistic approaches to resolving them.

“A constructive dialogue on controversial issues in the electric power sector is a guarantee of stability, openness and investment attractiveness of the power markets of the Russian Federation”, summed up Elena Tsyshevskaya.
