Export of Chongqing Ranks No. 1 in Central and Western China
OREANDA-NEWS. January 29, 2013. Last year, import and export amount of Chongqing was USD 53.2 billion with growth rate of 82.2% while that of whole country was USD 3,870 billion with growth rate of 6.2%. The import and export amount of Chongqing ranks No. 11 in China. The export amount of Chongqing ranks No. 1 in Central and Western China, and it is the first time for Chongqing to exceed Sichuan Province, ranking No. 10 in China.
In addition, last year, the service trade of Chongqing was USD 8.1 billion with growth rate of 32%, ranking No. 1 in Central and Western China. Thus Chongqing was listed in the seven key provinces and municipalities in the service trade of China. The offshore outsourcing executive amount was USD 1.039 billion with growth rate of 102%. It is the first time for Chongqing to exceed Tianjin and to become one of the leading 10 provinces and municipalities in China, ranking No. 1 in Central and Western China. It is worth mentioning that after the export amount of Chongqing advanced from No. 23 to No. 17 in China in 2011, the export amount of last year was doubled in 2012. The difference between the export amount of Chongqing and that of Sichuan has been reduced from USD 20.3 billion in 2010 to USD 5.9 billion in 2012, which is the fastest increase during the 15 years since Chongqing municipality was established.
