OREANDA-NEWS. January 29, 2013. Ulyanovsk Automobile Plant summed up the results of production for the 3d quarter of 2012.

Growing demand for UAZ Pickup cars allowed to increase their production by 79.8%. The production output of Pickup model reached more than 3 thousand vehicles.

Overall, in the period from January to September this year, Ulyanovsk Automobile Plant produced about 50,000 SUVs. Compared to the same period of the last year, the production increased by 11%. Since the beginning of the year, 23,424 UAZ vehicles left the assembly lines of Ulyanovsk Automobile Plant. As compared to the actual figures for the last year, the production of UAZ Patriot model increased by 18.6%.

The increased interest to UAZ models, which demonstrate the above-market sales growth, is associated with the launch of updated SUV versions featuring new modern dashboard, expanded range of options, as well as with the competent price positioning.
