OREANDA-NEWS. January 29, 2013. Recently, a total of 11 research programs of Sinochem Group in the fields of pesticide, dye and fluorine chemistry, etc. have won the “Prize for Progress in Science and Technology” from China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Federation (CPCIF), reported the press-centre of Sinochem.

The Program for Research and Application of Key Technologies for Chemicals Safety Evaluation Platform in Compliance with GLP Standards (the GLP Project) conducted by Shenyang Research Institute of Chemical Industry (SYRICI), a subsidiary of Sinochem Group, has won the First Prize for Progress in Science and Technology. In virtue of years’ efforts, SYRICI has taken the lead in establishing a safety evaluation system in compliance with GLP standards in the nation, and became the first safety evaluation organization getting the GLP certificate from the OECD in 2012.

During 2004-2011, GLP Project Team of SYRICI has, in line with OECD’s principles of GLP, conducted 2507 experimental safety evaluation researches on 905 chemicals, and systematically completed about 100 tests over the chronic toxicity and cancer-causing risks of domestic pesticides, making great contribution to safeguarding the health of human being and protecting the environment.
