OREANDA-NEWS. January 29, 2013. The Government of Uzbekistan is planning to create third free industrial zone in Jizaakh region, which will be founded in cooperation with China.

The Government of Uzbekistan adopted decision "On the results of socio-economic development of Uzbekistan in 2012 and main priorities of economic program for 2013".

Cabinet of Ministers entrusted the First Deputy Prime Minister of Uzbekistan Rustam Azimov in cooperation with Ministry of Foreign Economic Relations, Invetsment and Trade, Ministry of Economy and Ministry of Finance, administration of Jizzakh region and other interested bodies to complete preparation measures and agree constitution document of free industrial zone with Chinese authorized bodies.

The special zone will be created to attract investment and advanced innovative technologies for effective use of resource bases, develop industrial and export potential of Jizzakh region and neighboring regions.

Currently, there are two free industrial zones in Uzbekistan – free industrial-economic zone Navoi and special industrial zone Angren.
