OREANDA-NEWS. January 28, 2013. Ukraine plans to hold the Regional Summit of WEF on Europe and Central Asia. It was stated by the President in Davos after the meeting with Executive Chairman of the World Economic Forum Klaus Schwab. “We are planning to hold the Summit of European and Eurasian countries in Ukraine soon,” the President said.

The Head of State noted that the increase of competitiveness and the creation of dynamic and flexible mechanism of response to the challenges would allow gradual growth of the economies. “Our cooperation and holding of the joint economic forum in Kyiv is aimed to answer these questions,” Viktor Yanukovych emphasized.

The President also stressed that the elaboration by the WEF Council of global agenda on Ukraine was just what our state needed.

Viktor Yanukovych expressed gratitude to Klaus Schwab for the great work that WEF did for Ukraine.

In his turn, Klaus Schwab expressed hope that WEF Council on the elaboration of global agenda on Ukraine would provide useful recommendations for socio-economic development of Ukrainian state.

“I would like to express gratefulness to President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych for the spirit of friendship and cooperation,” Klaus Schwab said.

He added that such meetings were a good opportunity for Ukraine to “integrate in Davos family because Ukraine is a great and important country in Europe”.
