OREANDA-NEWS. January 28, 2013. Ukrainian universities should participate more actively in international scientific programs and compete for grants to transnational corporations. This was started by the vice Prime Minister of Ukraine Konstyantyn Gryshchenko, during a meeting with students of the Lviv Polytechnic National University during his working visit to Lviv Region.

Mr. Gryshchenko expressed the belief that the low level of managerial culture, inability to combine the management of scientific and educational process involving in commercial projects, international programs and grants are main problems of lag of many local universities from foreign competitors.

Thus, according to vice Prime Minister higher education institutions for their competitiveness should more actively participate in international scientific programs, to fight for grants of international organizations and multinational corporations.
