OREANDA-NEWS. January 24, 2013. Russian Railways spent 21 billion roubles on implementing its investment project "Construction and Reconstruction of Artificial Structures" in 2012, reported the press-centre of RZD.

Work was completed on 106 objects commissioned last year, including 55 small and medium-sized artificial structures, 12 footbridges and 39 roadbed objects. Fixed assets with a total value of 15.9 billion roubles were commissioned.

In 2012, the reconstruction of the viaduct at the 1418th kilometre of the first track on the stretch between Agryz - Druzhinino on Gorky Railways was completed at a total cost of 3.45 billion roubles, as were the bridge on the down track over the river Vetluga at the 570th km on the stretch between Gorky - Shakhunya on Gorky Railways (1.7 billion roubles) and the Korshunovsky tunnel at the 549th km on the up track between Taishet - Lena on East-Siberian Railways (3.07 billion roubles).

Reconstruction work also continued on tunnel number 4 at the 1436th kilometre on the down track of the section between Agryz - Druzhinino on Gorky Railways, on which the Company spent 199.9 million roubles in 2012, the Obluchensky tunnel at the 8193rd km on the stretch between Obluchye - Izvestkovay on Far Eastern Railways (1.35 billion roubles), the bridge over the river Byreyu at the 8035th km down track on the section between Bureya - Arkhara on Zabaikal Railways (0.53 billion roubles) and the bridge over the River Don, which includes the construction of a new bridge between Morozovovskaya - Volgograd on Volga Railways (0.87 billion roubles).
