It is learned from Chongqing Municipal Commission of Economy and Informatization that total industrial investment of Chongqing this year is expected to be RMB 350 billion. The fields of investment include 6 industries of electronics, automobile, equipment, chemical pharmacy, material and light textile. 

It is reported that, to keep the tendency of violate growth, electric industry will still be the "Highlight" of the industrial development of this year. This year, electric industry of Chongqing will put forth effort on promoting the mega-project of BOE 8.5 generation LCD panel and place emphasis on introducing projects of smart television, smart phone and tablet computer etc. It will also accelerate the introduction of key component manufacture such as hard disk, Al-Mg enclosure and so on.

For automobile industry, it will try the best to commence SGMW project and propel the construction of the third factory of Changan Ford, the second factory of Changan Suzuki and the Changan hundred billion-scale automobile town at Yuzui. For equipment industry, Chongqing will make a substantial breakthrough on the aspect of introducing numerical control machine tool and basic components. It will strive for putting Swiss Pilatus Helicopter Overall Unit Project into operation.

Chemical pharmacy is also the key point of industrial development of this year. This year, it will work hard to attract a multinational enterprise engaged on pharmacy so as to facilitate the technical communication of Chongqing's pharmacy industry with foreign advanced pharmaceutical enterprise and to improve their capacity of independent innovation. Additionally, it will also bring in more than 3 domestic leading enterprises and accelerate the construction of pharmaceutical bases of chemical medicine, traditional Chinese medicine & health product, bio-pharmacy and medical apparatus.

For material industry, with focus on high-quality steel, distinctive nonferrous metals and new construction materials and so on, great importance will be attached on the environmental relocation of CIBC long products & tubular products production plant and the automobile panel project etc. Meanwhile, it will intensify investment attraction to strive for breakthrough on projects of special steel, ornamental glass and glass fibre engineering plastic etc.

This year, light textile industry of Chongqing will comply with the connotation of the 6 key words, "Marketplace, Location, Quality, Culture, Brand and Marketing", to leads the industry to a way of elaborate, distinctive, environmental and characteristic development. It will also fill the industrial blank of horologe manufacture and glasses manufacture. On the other hand, great effort will be put on the construction of Asia-Pacific Paper Cultural/Living Paper Production Base, Sateri Forestry Pulp Fibre Integration, Western Textile Town of Sanxia Technology Textile Co., Ltd., Kicolor Textile Costume Industry Park and Differential Fibre Production Base of Zhejiang Longteng Group.
