OREANDA-NEWS. January 23, 2013. Capt. Wei Jiafu, Chairman of the Board of COSCO Group, met with Mr. Jorge Quiroga, former President of Bolivia, Mr. Andres Pastrana, former President of Colombia, and Mr. Martin Torrijos, former President of Panama, who came to visit China under the invitation of the International Economic Club of China, reported the press-centre of COSCO.

The meeting was also attended by Mr. Eric Yuan, Secretary General of the International Economic Club of China.

Capt. Wei briefed the delegation on the development of COSCO Group, especially COSCO'S business in Latin America. The guests thanked Capt. Wei for his kind reception, and paid tribute to COSCO's contribution to Latin America.

The two sides fully exchanged views on issues including economic development of Latin American countries, outlook of cooperation between China and Latin American economies, as well as prospect of global maritime industry.
