OREANDA-NEWS. January 23, 2013. ТNК-ВР reports that in 2013 it will allocate 50 mln rubles as social investment in the Irkutsk region, which is 25% more than in 2012. A supplementary agreement on social and economic cooperation between the Company and the region's Government envisages the allocation of funds for such key areas of focus as the support of health care, sports, educational and cultural programs, reported the press-centre of TNK-BP.

TNK-BP is a key investor and a major taxpayer in the Irkutsk region. In 2012, over 7.8 mln rubles was allocated to the regional budget, which is 61% more than a year before. Payments to all-level budgets increased twice and amounted to 19.2 mln rubles.

"We have established reliable partnership relations with the Irkutsk region. In 2012, we exceeded all parameters of the joint Agreement – by 1 bn rubles in terms of taxes and by 600 k tons in terms of production. One of the main components of this result is preferential taxation conditions arranged for us by the Irkutsk region and allowing us to invest additional funds in the operations," says Oleg Chemezov, OJSC TNK-BP Management Vice President, Branch Director, "TNK-BP Sibir" in the city of Tyumen.
