OREANDA-NEWS. January 23, 2013. TNK-BP informs that the economic effect from the implementation of the continuous improvement program at Ryazan Oil Refinery Company (RORC, a TNK-BP Group company) amounted more than USD 80 mln in 2012, reported the press-centre of TNK-BP.

Continuous operations efficiency improvement is a key driver of TNK-BP's sustainable development. Since 2010 all the Company Subsidiaries have been implementing the continuous improvement system, which enables accumulation of the best ideas from the Company employees and their practical implementation in technological, organizational and management processes.

The continuous improvement system was introduced at RORC in 2010. Since then the total economic effect exceeded USD 250 mln. In 2012, RORC employees put forward more than 100 improvement suggestions; 15 out of them have already been implemented and 12 more are being worked on.

"The continuous improvement system depends first and foremost on result-oriented people; that is why the program's potential is huge. The more engaged and active people are, the greater is the success of the business as the product quality, the operations environmental friendliness and safety improve. We will invest USD 2.5 bn in the upgrade activities at RORC by 2015. The plant is changing rapidly and there are more and more opportunities to introduce new ideas. According to our estimates, in the nearest 3 years the implementation of the continuous improvement program at RORC will yield about USD 30 mln annually," says Anatoly Skoromets, RORC General Director.
