OREANDA-NEWS. January 23, 2013. A competitive, flexible and attractive for investors labour market is necessary to be created in Moldova, - Valeriu Lazar.
This was stated by the Minister of Economy at the first joint sitting of the Ministry and other bodies, including the Ministry of Labour, the Ministry of Finance, AmCham, the Association of Foreign Investors and the European Business, etc. Moldova severely competes with neighbouring states, and ensuring successful development of business requires removing administrative barriers and amending legislation to fit the times, Valeriu Lazar said.

Participants of the sitting discussed challenges Moldova is facing and ways to solve them. They arranged to create a working group to analyze the proposals and identify short-term priorities.

Objectives of the working group will also include development of policies to enhance competitiveness of the labour market, remove barriers in regulation of labour relations, simplify administrative procedures and amend laws to better regulate contest-based employment and outsourcing procedures and exclude the term “Labour Card” out of legislative practice.
