OREANDA-NEWS. January 22, 2013. In Novy Urengoy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation D.Medvedev held a meeting "On development prospects for the resources of Russia`s continental shelf" in which General Director of "Zarubezhneft" JSC Sergey Kudryashov took part. Participants of the meeting – members of the Russian government and heads of the leading oil and gas companies – discussed measures to stimulate the development of the country’s continental shelf hydrocarbon resources.

For reference. State company "Zarubezhneft" JSC has a vast experience working on the shelf. More than 30 years company is being successfully developing continental shelf of Vietnam within the frame of the joint Russian-Vietnamese company "Vietsovpetro". In 2012 Zarubezhneft together with the partners drilled 29 exploitation and 8 exploratory wells offshore Vietnam.

In December 2012 company started drilling exploratory well on the Block L in the Cuban territorial waters.

On May 31st, 2012 "Zarubezhneft" JSC became majority shareholder of "Arktikmorneftegazrazvedka" JSC – the oldest enterprise of our country`s oil sector, which was founded in 1979 for geological prospecting work on the Russian Arctic Seas shelf. For the whole period of geologic-geophysical study of the Russian continental shelf "Arktikmorneftegazrazvedka" JSC executed more than 22% of all works.
