Uzbekistan GDP Will Grow by 7.5% in 2013
OREANDA-NEWS. January 22, 2013. The growth of gross domestic product (GDP) of Uzbekistan will grow by 7.5%, says the World Bank in the newly-released Global Economic Prospects (GEP) report.
According to forecast of the World Bank’s specialists, economy of Uzbekistan will grow by 7% in 2014 and 6.8% in 2014. The report said that the GDP of Uzbekistan rose by 8.2% in 2012.
The report noted that the current account balance of Uzbekistan will make up 4.5% to GDP in 2013 and 4% in 2014, as well as 3.8% in 2015. The figure made up 4.5% in 2012, according to the World Bank estimates.
Uzbek President Islam Karimov said Uzbekistan posted 8.2% GDP growth in 2012. The Government of Uzbekistan expects that the GDP of the country will increase by 8% in 2013.
