BOC Set Up Chinese Business Counter in Uganda
OREANDA-NEWS. January 21, 2013. BOC, through cooperation with Development Finance Company of Uganda Bank Limited (DFCU Bank), set a Chinese business counter in Kampala, the capital of Uganda, so as to provide corporate customers with financial and consulting services and cater for the rapid development of trade and investment businesses between the two countries. This is the sixth Chinese business counter set by BOC overseas, reported the press-centre of BOC.

In countries and regions with no operation branch set yet, BOC makes use of its rich resources of overseas correspondent banks and assigns people to these correspondent banks, so as to provide financial supports for the “Go Global” Chinese funded enterprises, individuals and foreign enterprises through the business platforms of correspondent banks. At present, BOC has set Chinese business counters in Oman, Ghana, Peru, the UAE and Turkey.
As a Chinese funded commercial bank with the highest globalization, BOC has its overseas institutions covered Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan and 35 countries. And, BOC has established correspondent and cooperation relations with nearly 1,500 foreign banks in 179 countries and regions.
