Prudential Group Insurance Names Chief Operating Officer of Disability
OREANDA-NEWS. January 18, 2013. Cathy Liston has been appointed as Chief Operating Officer of Disability for Prudential Group Insurance, a business of Prudential Financial, Inc (NYSE:PRU). In this role she is responsible for all disability claims and absence management, including related support functions. Liston joins Prudential Group Insurance with over 25 years of disability claims industry experience, having served in a variety of disability and leave management leadership roles.

Prior to Prudential Group Insurance, Liston served as vice president of disability and leave management at Aetna. In this role, she led a team of 1,200 associates with national responsibility for Aetna's disability and absence management operations, as well as functional accountability for claims, sales support, customer loyalty, and information technology. Previously, during a twenty-year tenure with UNUM, Liston held roles of increasing responsibility, culminating in her role as vice president of disability benefits, with nation-wide responsibility for multiple disability functions. Liston earned a Bachelors of Arts degree in Mathematics and Spanish from Colby College in Waterville, Maine.
