BNP Paribas Goes Live with Chinese Language Version of Cortex FX
OREANDA-NEWS. January 18, 2013. BNP Paribas announces the roll-out of a Chinese language (simplified Chinese) version of its advanced, electronic foreign exchange trading platform – Cortex FX – which provides an innovative, multi-product solution for corporate and financial institutional clients to manage their foreign exchange requirements, reported the press-centre of BNP Paribas.
The Chinese language version of BNP Paribas' single-dealer FX platform extends the bank's ability to deliver its full breadth of electronic foreign exchange products, tools and services to its Chinese client base. Targeting both corporate and financial institutional clients, the new Chinese version of the platform not only fulfils the banks legal requirements when dealing with onshore corporate clients, but also allows clients around the world using the Chinese version of Microsoft Windows convenient access to Cortex FX features and functionality.
Tim Edwards, Head of Electronic Markets – Fixed Income - Asia-Pacific at BNP Paribas, said “With the successful launch of Cortex FX in Q1 2012, the bank has been able to significantly increase its electronic trading volume through the delivery of a fully integrated eFX solution.
Adding further functionality to Cortex such as additional languages enables the bank to further refine its ability to meet the needs of our diverse client base while helping the bank to compete at the forefront of the electronic markets space”.
