Rosmorport Reports on Icebreaking Pilotage at Sea Port of Eysk
OREANDA-NEWS. January 18, 2013. The Azovo-Chernomorskiy basin branch Eysk subdivision keeps providing navigation safety for vessels calling at/from the sea port of Eysk. Stable icebreaking pilotage during difficult weather conditions of Azov sea winter navigation period, reported the press-centre of Rosmorport.
At present, the ice depth at the Taganrog bay water area is 25-30 sm, that is the reason the independent navigation at the sea port of Eysk is prohibited.
Icebreaking pilotage at the sea port of Eysk entrance are provided by the Captain Krutov icebreaker.
On January, 10 2013 the Captain Krutov icebreaker pilotage another caravan of 5 vessels to the sea port of Eysk reid. It is planned to refuel the icebreaker and to supply food during a short moorage at the sea port because weather conditions are expected to get tougher.
Since December, 17 2012 the branch's icebreaker lead out 45 and lead in 40 vessels in 12 caravans to the both ways.
In turn, Kolguev and Tekhflotets port tugboats of the Azovo-Chernomorskiy basin branch Eysk subdivision provide vessels arrangement at berths for transhipment. Despite of an ice gruel, both tugboats successfully complete all the operations.
Since the beginning of the ice season no complaints registered about the Captain Krutov icebreaking pilotage.
