Belarusian Potash Company Reaches Agreement on Shipments to China
OREANDA-NEWS. January 18, 2013. Belarusian Potash Company (BPC, joint venture trader of Uralkali (LSE: URKA) and Belaruskali, and the world leader in export sales of potash fertiliser) has agreed contracts with major Chinese fertiliser importers Sinochem and CNAMPGC on potash deliveries in H1 2013.

Oleg Petrov, Uralkali Director for Sales and Marketing, commented:
"New contracts with our Chinese partners are a positive signal for the global potash market setting the floor price and anticipating significant delivery volumes. We are confident that these contracts will act as a stimulus demand in other regions and provide the basis for overall growth of the potash market in 2013".
Uralkali - is one of the world’s largest potash producers with a market share of about 20%. The Company’s assets consist of 5 mines and 7 ore-treatment mills situated in the towns of Berezniki and Solikamsk (Perm Territory, Russia). Uralkali employs ca. 12,500 people (in the main production unit). Uralkali’s shares and GDRs are traded on the RTS-MICEX and LSE, respectively.
