OREANDA-NEWS. January 17, 2013. According to the National Bureau of Statistics, as compared with October, 2012, when it was 3482.3 leis, it grew 1.3%. Adjusted to inflation, a growth of the average wage made up 5.3% in November 2012 as compared with November, 2011.

In the budget sector the average wage was 3226.7 leis, 14.5% up as compared with November, 2011. In the real sector it grew 7.1% to 3621.5 leis. The lowest wage was given to fishery workers in November, 2012; it made up 1613.2 leis, 0.1% down as compared with the same period of 2011.

The average wages in agriculture and forestry grew 12.6% to 2478 leis. Wages in hotel and restaurant business remain low too. In this November they were close to 2668.4 leis, 20% up. The average wage was 2941 leis (3.4% up) in education, 2951.3 leis (8.5% up) in trade and 3396.5 leis (10.9% up) in medical and social care sector.

The highest wages were paid to workers of the banking sector and averaged 6296.3 leis in November, 2012, 2.1% down as compared with November, 2011.

The average wage at heat-, power- and water -supplying companies made up 5182.3 leis (3.8% up) . It was 4556.6 leis (33.9% up) at public administration bodies, 4418 leis (4.3%up ) at realtor companies, 3980.2 leis (6.2% up) at transport and communication companies, 3799.9 leis (9.5% up) at building companies and 3576.9.9leis (8.8% up) at processing ones.
