SORAINEN M&A and Private Equity Team leaders in Lithuania and Estonia dominate the Mergermarket individual lawyer rankings by volume in terms of the number of M&A transactions announced in the Baltics and Belarus during the past five years (2007-2012), reported the press-centre of SORAINEN.

Laimonas Skibarka, the office managing partner of SORAINEN Lithuania and head of the SORAINEN M&A and Private Equity Team in Lithuania, ranks first with 20 qualifying transactions with a total disclosed value of EUR 2.6 billion. According to Mergermarket, Toomas Prangli, the office managing partner of SORAINEN Estonia and regional head of the SORAINEN M&A and Private Equity Team, is second on the list with 16 transactions announced during the past five years.

Mergermarket (part of the Financial Times Group) tracks M&A deals with a value exceeding USD 5 million and/or involving target companies with an annual turnover above USD 10 million.

Five of the top 10 M&A lawyers in the Mergermarket ranking work with SORAINEN. In addition to the leaders of the list – Laimonas Skibarka (Lithuania) and Toomas Prangli (Estonia) – the top 10 also includes Eva Berlaus, the office managing partner of SORAINEN Latvia and head of the SORAINEN M&A and Private Equity Team in Latvia, as well as senior associates Paul Kunnap (Estonia) and Mantas Petkevicius (Lithuania).
