OREANDA-NEWS. January 16, 2013. Rafael Ramirez, People’s Minister of Petroleum and Mining and president of Petroleos de Venezuela, S.A. – PDSVA, asserted that the oil workers maintain a clear position and stressed that the New PDVSA is a product of the Bolivarian Revolution’s progress, which has enabled the creation of a fundamental and irreversible oil policy for the possibility of building Socialism.

“On behalf of all the oil workers we would like to express to the whole of the Venezuelan people our loyalty to President Hugo Chavez and our firm commitment to support all of his decisions; all of our efforts result in the building of Socialism”, asserted the Minister.

Additionally, Ramirez emphasized that the market has enough supplies of oil and according to the latest agreements a production of 30 thousand barrels of crude per day is being maintained. “There are elements outside the market that could affect the price of oil”.

Furthermore, PDVSA’s president said that there continues to be progress in the agreements between the People’s Republic of China and Venezuela for the making of the national mining map, which is a certification and quantification of the country’s mining reserves, enabling the planning of exploitation projects.

In oil matters he said: “we signed the joint study with China National Petroleum Corporation – CNPC, for the development of the Junin 10 block located in the Faja Petrolifera del Orinoco, in addition to oil trading. We were also reviewing the progress of the Refinery that we are making with China, the subject of upgraders in the country”.

“We are reviewing all of our projects within the framework of the Homeland Plan. We have been working towards the achievement of our strategic goals”.

He also said that Venezuela is developing big oil pipelines projects to be finished the first trimester of the upcoming year.
