OREANDA-NEWS. January 16, 2013. At the beginning of January an ocean vessel “Ocean outback” specializing in cattle transportation arrived to Ust-Luga (Laningrad region Kingisepp district) from the USA loaded with another shipment of Aberdeen Angus breed cattle. Total number of arrived cattle composed 3 386 heads.

Upon finishing the takeover Miratorg specialists successfully transported animals to Bryansk region.

The total number of vehicles involved into the cattle transportation composed 177.

Animal were put to the farms “Pervomaiskoe” (Pochep region) – 407 bulls, and “Selilovichi” (Rognedino region) – 2 633 pregnant heifers, 213 bulls and 133 replacement heifers.

All the cattle imported from the USA are recognized clinically healthy and placed for quarantine.

Along with breeding stock 115 horses of the famous cowboy breed Quarter Horse that was specially bred for work with animals at farms, arrived from the USA.

A takeover of the next breeding cattle from the USA is planned for the beginning of February this year. More than 5000 animals will be put to two farms in Starodub and Pochep districts of Bryansk region.

In Bryansk area at the moment the construction of 24 cattle farms is finished within the framework of the project ABH Miratorg on beef production, 20 of them are inhabited with Aberdeen Angus animals arrived from Australia and the USA, and the total number of cattle composes 70 000 heads ( 4 200 of them are calves born at Miratorg Bryansk farms within the period: spring – autumn 2012).
