Moldova-EU Deficit of Trade Balance Increased 1259%
OREANDA-NEWS. January 16, 2013. Deficit of the trade balance of Moldova with EU states made up USD 191.9 mln. in January-November, 2012, 1259% up as compared with the same period of 2011.
According to NBS, export of Moldovan goods to EU countries amounted to a sum o f USD 921.8 mln. in January-November, 2012, made up 46.7% of the total Moldovan export and declined 2.5% as compared with the same period of 2011.
At the same time, Moldova imported 3.5% more goods from EU at a sum of USD 2 bln. 133.7 mln., which was 44.9% of the total Moldovan import. In January-November, 2012, the greatest amount of goods exported to EU fell ton Romania and amounted to USD 322.0 mln, 7.8% down as compared with the same period of 2011.
Then follow: Italy - USD 187.9 mln. (+0.4%); the Great Britain - USD 76.2 mln. (-17.0%);Poland - USD 68.9 mln. (-12.2%); Germany - USD 65.3 mln. (-34.6%); Bulgaria - USD 31.9 mln. (-0.7%); Hungary - USD 27.2 mln. (+30.6%); France- USD 25.4 mln. (+31.1%).
The greatest amount of imported goods fell on Romania too and accounted for USD 572.8 mln. (+10.1%). Then followed: Germany - USD 349.7 mln. (-3.1%); Italy - USD 297.0 mln. (-6.0%); Poland - USD 137.9 mln. (+14.5%); Austria - USD 109.0 mln. (+39.2%); France- USD 95.7 mln. (+24.4%); Hungary - USD 81.7 mln. (-11.1%); Bulgaria - USD 71.5 mln. (+20.8%), the Great Britain - USD 53.8 mln. (-7.7%), Greece - USD 45,8 mln. (-29,0%) and others.
