OREANDA-NEWS. January 16, 2013. The Government will develop a competitive aviation operations development strategy in Ukraine to minimize recurrence risk of the problem situation related to the AeroSvit Company. This was started by Prime Minister Mykola Azarov on Facebook.

"The situation that is happening now with AeroSvit has forced us to develop the measures on aviation operations development in the country, which minimize recurrence risk of similar situations in the future", said the Prime Minister.

Thus, Mykola Azarov said that the major airlines’ bankruptcy occurs quite often in the world. But, he said, "the solution of these problems is facilitated by the fact that there is a competitive environment and the position of a bankrupt company is occupied by competitor very quickly. Passengers somehow feel uncomfortable, but they are compensated, and the problem is solved in favor of a more competitive carrier. And at the new stage passengers receive certain benefits".

"So our goal is to create the same model in our country. Of course, there are many problems in this way, but I repeat, this case that occurred with the private airline has forced the government to find a solution, and they will be found", the Prime Minister stressed.
