OREANDA-NEWS. January 16, 2013. Information that the National Commission for Services plan raising of tariffs for communal services by one third placed in the Dzerkalo Tyzhnya (Mirror of the Week) newspaper and re-printed by some other internet editions does not correspond to reality. This was informed by the press service of the National Commission that maintains state regulation in the area of communal services.

Given by the mentioned edition calculations were made by the National Commission in summer of 2012 in the frames of implementation of a task in bringing tariffs to economically grounded level. In spring of 2012 calculations were handed to the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine to be agreed. The calculations showed that bringing tariffs to the level of coverage will be rather significant and notable for et population. As social protection of the population is one of the priorities of the state policy, the schedule of correcting the tariffs was rejected.

Unfortunately, neither journalists of the Dzerkalo Tyzhnya nor journalists of other editions viewed necessary to address the Government or the Commission for comments and explanations and spread misinformation.
