OREANDA-NEWS. January 15, 2013. OMZ Special Steels, part of OMZ Group, has concluded the deal with OJSC Power Machines on delivery of forgings for low-pressure rotors for the first unit of Belorussian NPP. The company will produce 8 forgings weighing 85 tons each to be delivered in the second half of 2013.

OMZ Special Steels traditionally produces rotor forgings – within the last 5 years the company has produced more than 100 forged rotors weighing more than 5 thousand tons. In 2011 the company mastered production of rotors from high-chromium steels, while last year it took delivery of new lathes, which will allow proceeding rotors weighing up to 250 tons and with 25m length.
