OREANDA-NEWS. January 15, 2013. The resolution of President Islam Karimov “On the Program of measures to implement the most important projects on modernisation of production, technical and technological renovation in 2009-2013” dated 12 March 2009 serves as a significant guideline in this direction.

The companies under Uzkimyosanoat state joint stock company, particularly Maxam-Chirchiq open joint stock company, are carrying out works in implementing the resolution. Several plants of the company have urdergone modernisation and reconstruction. Particularly, control and monitoring equipments at the ammonia and carbamide (urea) production plants have been replaced. An automatic management system of technological processes has been installed at the urea plant. Modern water injectors, steam pumps, cleaning equipments have been put into operation.

When these works are competed, the plant’s annual capacity will increase from 235 thousand tons to 270 thousand tons, while the export voluments will rise to 170 thousand tons comparing to 110 thousand tons at present.

In accordance with the technical and technological renovation program power-saving equipments were installed to the power transformators at the Maxam-Chirchiq. Furthermore,old parts of heating boilers at the steam provision plant, pumps at the production lines have been renovated. Ammonia production plant management system has been completely automated.

Based on the decree of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan on acceleration of implementation of low density ammonium nitrate production at Maxam-Chirchiq OJSC” dated from 16 Aprel 2010 a porous ammonium nitrate production plant has been commissioned.

The project that has provided jobs for 32 specialists has been implemented with foreign investments. New plant has a production capacity of 60 thousand tons, 55 thousand tons of which is planned to be dispatched for export.

Currently the company produces more than 40 fertilizers and chemicals such urea, ammonium nitrate, various acids, chemical reagents. In accordance with localisation program production of new products such as magnesium sulfate, potassium sulfate, carbamide phosphoric acid have been introduced.

According to the company reports, in 2012 Maxam-Chirchiq produced 3 mln 22 thousand tons of production and 15,7 bln UZS worth products on a localisation program.

The number of customers for Maxam-Chirchiq products are ever increasing. At present the company exports to more than 30 countries of the world. In 2012 exporting volumes constituted 261 thousand tons.

The company employs nearly 6500 people, of which majority are the youth.
