Repair Works Were Fulfilled on 7240 Kilometers of Roads of Moldova
OREANDA-NEWS. January 15, 2013. This was stated by Minister of Transport and Road Infrastructure Anatol Salaru at the sitting of the government when he reported on drawing of means of the Road Fund in 2012. He reminded that the budget of the Road Fund for 2012 was approved at a sum of 1 bln. 024,82 mln. leis, but real expenditures made up 1 bln. 033,3 mln. leis.
Unprovided works at a sum of 8.48 mln. leis were backed form external funds received from fines imposed on companies missing deadlines for repair works as well as from sales of timber received as a result of cutting dry wood along public roads, Anatol Salaru said. According to the Minister, the Ministry of Finance underfinanced the Road Fund at a sum of 51.2 mln. leis, which entailed indebtedness to roadmen.
The indebtedness will be sank from the means of the Road Fund budgeted for 2013. In 2012 the maintenance of roads was allotted for 866.84 mln. leis instead of 858.35 mln. leis budgeted. Expenses on repair of roads and constructions made up 83.62 mln. leis; design works were spent on 27.12 mln. leis. Purchase of machines and special road equipment was spent on 55.72 mln. leis.
According to the Minister, last year special attention was given to safety of road traffic. To ensure the safety, it was set 10.3 thou. road signs, including 9099 standard ones and 1201 markers. It was installed 7079 road signs in national and 3221 on local roads. Besides, to increase the safety it was set 10 thousand bollards.
It was arranged 244 bus stops. 22.5 thousand walnut trees were planted along roads. It was used 42 thou. t. of anti-ice reagent out of 78.9 thou. t.
