OREANDA-NEWS. January 15, 2013. The Office of the Federal Antimonopoly Service in the Tomsk region (Tomsk OFAS Russia) initiated a case upon a fact of “Neftebaza” Ltd. and “SeverNefteprodukt” Ltd. abusing their dominant position when selling oil products, reported the press-centre of FAS Russia.

The grounds for initiating the case: petitions from residents and the authorities of three districts in the Tomsk region. Having looked at the situation in one of the districts, the antimonopoly body identified certain signs of abusing dominant position by “Neftebaza” Ltd. and “SeverNefteprodukt” Ltd. (Part 1 Article 10 of the Federal Law “On Protection of Competition”).

“Neftebaza” Ltd. and “SeverNefteprodukt” Ltd. increased prices for fuel-and-lubrication materials faster that the inflation index, which infringed the interests of consumers – buyers of oil products.

The antimonopoly body is investigating prices for fuel-and-lubrication materials in two other districts of the Tomsk region.
