OREANDA-NEWS.  January 14, 2013. The PM of Ukraine Mykola Azarov have considered a report and propositions of a Vice Prime Minister Olexandr Vilkul concerning measures for normalization of the situation caused by failing to follow a schedule of flights by the AeroSvit company.

A respective instruction was given to Olexandr Vilkul during a sitting of the Cabinet of Ministers.

On the results of an analysis of the situation the Head of Government, first of all, commissioned the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to ensure practical aid to every passenger who is forced to stay in foreign airports through the failure of flights by the AeroSvit, that is within personal responsibility of ambassadors of Ukraine in the respective countries.

“The main issue is to return people home and protect all the rights of Ukrainian citizens at this,” underlined Mykola Azarov.

The Ministry of Infrastructure was commissioned to immediately ready an order of the Government on usage of funds of the Reserve Fund if necessary for payment of returning our citizens into Ukraine. However, to compensate these expenses on the fact is a liability of the AeroSvit airlines.

To the Ministry of Infrastructure in cooperation with State Aviation Service and with participation of the carrier company the Head of Government has given a commission to form a real flight schedule the implementation of which is to be guaranteed by the AeroSvit in conditions that appeared. And also to maintain non-stop informing about the schedule in mass media and by other information channels.

Implementation of this schedule will be strictly supervised by the state regulator.

Moreover, the profile ministry together with the State Aviation Service have to take all accessible measures to ensure transition of passengers of the AeroSvit according to the purchased tickets or timely compensation of price of tickets by the airline.

Besides, the Minister of Infrastructure Volodymyr Kozak was commissioned to elaborate a strategy for development of the aviation branch taking into account interests of passengers.

The control over fulfillment of the set commissions Mykola Azarov entrusted to a Vice Prime Minister Olexandr Vilkul who has to further study the situation and make propositions for additional measures if necessary.
