OREANDA-NEWS. January 14, 2013. The Ministry of Social Policy introduces additional levels of control over payment of arrears of salaries. This was announced by the Minister of Social Policy Nataliya Korolevska on the outcomes of a sitting of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine.

“The heads of authorities, local state administrations provide reports that arrears of wages to budget employees have been paid. Together with that, talking to the people I have received the opposite information not once. In order to strengthen control, we have launched additional levels of supervision over the situation,” Nataliya Korolevska stressed.

The first level is cooperation with trade unions. This level is working already and showing concrete results. “With the help of the Central Trade Union Committee of social sphere employees we have revealed concrete facts of hiding arrears of wages to the budget employees. I have addressed the Government with a request to empower the head of regional state administration to consider this fact and give to the Ministry the information to settle the problem,” the Minister emphasized.

Since February 1 the second level of control is to be launched – on the basis of information of the Governmental contact center. “We are launching tight cooperation with the contact centre to ensure that no address about non-payment of salary or social aid remained unsolved on the part of the authorities,” Nataliya Korolevska informed.

Moreover, she explained since March 1the third additional level is to commence. “It concerns public control that will be based on our cooperation with public organizations,” Nataliya Korolevska said.

“A person either receives salary or not. He or she is not interested in reports or measures taken, or other imitation of activity. That’s why to every case of non-payment of salary in the budget sphere we will react immediately. And if any of the officials guess that it is affordable to provide false information, hide it or fool people, everyone will understand very quickly that it is a mistake,” Nataliya Korolevska summed up.
