Latvijas Balzams Received ISO 9001:2008
OREANDA-NEWS. January 14, 2013. With reference to the Det Norske Veritas recertification audit results, AS Latvijas balzams, while keeping its active working on the improvement of the company’s internal processes, has received the certificate which confirms the compliance of the company’s management system with the requirements of ISO 9001:2008. The certificate is also independent evidence for the company’s customers and partners, which confirms that the company has created and implemented all the processes that are necessary for the fulfilment of mutual commitments.
“Realising that quality of products is the cornerstone of business development, a well-arranged quality management system is one of the priorities for us as a producer and an exporting company. The confirmation of our work results is the management system recertification until the end of 2015,”says Guntis Aboltins-Abolins (Guntis Aboltins-Abolins), the Chairman of the Board of AS Latvijas balzams.
The chief executive of AS Latvijas balzams emphasizes that quality management is an on-going process:
“We will definitely take into account the recommendations of independent experts when planning future improvements in relation to the internal processes. This will help the company to reach an even higher quality level.”
ISO 9001 is an international management system standard which is applicable to any branch of industry or services. Taking into consideration the necessity to increase the satisfaction of customers and the on-going improvement of the company’s activity, the standard requirements apply to those processes of the company that influence quality.
The first ISO 9001 certification of the quality management system at AS Latvijas balzams was in 2002.
