OREANDA-NEWS. January 11, 2013.  State program “Development of Transport System” has been approved by the Decree of the RF Government No 2600-р dated December 28, 2012, press center of Russia’s Transport Ministry reports.

 The program has been developed with account of the role which transport plays in solving the priority tasks of social and economic development of the Russian Federation through 2020.

 The goals and objectives of the program are stated in accordance with the long-term priorities of the national transport policy focused on arrangement of infrastructural environment for modernization of economic and public relations having taken into account comprehensive evaluation of the current situation in the transport system.

 The goals of the state program reflect the final solutions of transport problems of Russia’s social and economic development till 2020: boost of merchandise flows and decrease of transport costs; improved affordability of transport service for the population; competitive growth of Russia’s transport system in the global market of transport services; improved safety and stability of transport system.
