OREANDA-NEWS. January 11, 2013. The dynamic tests were conducted in accordance with regulations RTM 108.021.102-85 “Power steam turbine units. Requirements for foundations”. and consisted in excitation of forced foundation vibration, vertical and lateral directions successfully, by means of a mechanical vibration exciter. The vibration exciter was adjusted for a disturbing force of 3888 kgf at a unit operation speed of 3000 rpm.

The works were carried out within highly limited time, in hard weather and housing conditions. For the tests, the required equipment of about 1.5 ton was delivered from the Novocherkasskaya GRES site within the shortest time.

The test results show dynamic reliability of the upper structure of the non-loaded foundation of the 420 MW CCPP turbine set of Power Unit No. 4, Cherepovetskaya GRES, which enabled to commence the turbine set installation.

Active work for construction of future Power Unit No.4 of Cherepovetskaya GRES is going on. Currently, a boiler, turbine condenser, air treatment system are being actively installed, Siemens specialists have been mobilized for the installation of turbine set. Wall fences and roof of the turbine hall and electrical equipment section have been arranged, the power floor of the main building is being actively installed. The installed heating system maintains therein the temperature comfortable for conducting installation works. Currently the erection and construction works are being performed at the 420 CCPP construction site (Power Unit No. 4). The handover of the electrical equipment installed in electrical equipment rooms and commissioning works are planned to be started in February 2013.
