Ukraine Has Necessary Resources for Spring Field Works
OREANDA-NEWS. January 11, 2013. In Ukraine, the conditions of organized and accessible resources for spring field work are created. This was started by Prime Minister Mykola Azarov at a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine.
The Prime Minister said that currently supply with seeds of spring crops is 102%. Agricultural producers stated intention to use of fertilizers by 15% more over last year and 10% more crop protection products this year.
However Mykola Azarov noted a positive factor of stable prices for fertilizers, which are at the level of 2011- 2012 years.
"Fundamentally important point: the weather is favorable - it is a gift of nature, the best agricultural technologies, making the required quantity of fertilizers and protective substances, the maximum availability of the necessary resources – it is a tool in the hands of the producers. Together, these factors will allow us to get a good harvest", the Prime Minister said.
The PM noted, that together the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food and the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade have already agreed the schedule of supplying of fertilizers by in terms of range and region. "Now the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food together with the regional administrations have to implement weekly monitoring of this schedule and a flexible mechanism for responding to conditions that occur in specific regions must be created. It is necessary that material and technical logistic came just in time to that place and in those amounts as required. Also it is necessary that the schedule for spring field works soon will be approved in each regional administration. And so it was a road-map for quick maneuvering with necessary material and technical resources", Mykola Azarov ordered.
However, the Prime Minister stressed the need to ensure farms with access to credit for seasonal work and achieve fulfillment of obligations by insurance companies. Relevant work Mykola Azarov ordered to organize the First vice Prime Minister Sergiy Arbuzov.
